So once you're seated, that's it until you leave? If you go to the bar to get a drink you should expect your bags to be moved when you get back? Utterly ridiculous.

If the items were left for an extended period of time, that's different, but five minutes or less away from a seat in a lounge for a bar run or bathroom break is nowhere near the same as 'cutting in line'.
