Booked flight, not ticketed?

Hey all, either something strange has happened, or I just don't know what the normal procedure is for MFUs...

So I was booking an MFU, everything was going fine, and I got to the payment page. I enter the info needed and hit "Make booking". After a few seconds at the waiting screen, I get an error saying the systems aren't responding. "God damnit" I think, and start all over. Just as I'm at the payment page I get an email in my inbox, "BA travel reservation" (not the normal "BA e-ticket receipt", apparently the first booking went through in some form.

The email says I'll get a seperate e-ticket receipt. As it is now, checkmytrip.com tells me my booking has no ticket numbers, and MMB on BA tells me "Either you do not have an e-ticket, or we have been unable to retrieve your e-ticket in our system. Please contact your local British Airways office."

Is this normal for MFUs? Or should I be worrying and doing something?
