Is anyone at BA reading/listening?
Just to be completely clear (in case anyone relevant is reading this) my 17 min queue yesterday morning, was after strict screening of entitlement to use the Fast Track.

I can't imagine what it would have been like had there been no screening. Prrobably as on previous visits, where I consciously moved into the non FT line as it was moving faster. Unfortunately not possible where FT is completely segregated, as yeserday, as it would mean barging into a non FT queue rather than joining it at the start.

It is interesting that neither BA nor BAA are willing to accept responsibility for the various issues. What seems to have happened is an absolutely fundamental misdesign, with far too much space on the departures landside and too little for the departures airside. Compare e.g. the F check-in area at T5 with the corresponding area that CX use in HKG: the BA area is probably about 10 times larger and takes about 10 times as long to reach from the HEX than the equivalent walk in HKG. But don't get me started on the ridculous positioning of the F check-in area, which I have now stopped using completely in favour of just using a fast bag drop desk with a short queue ......
