Does BAA's head of Corporate affairs expect anyone to buy that. Yeah right, BA are sending premium passengers through the shopping arcade to differentiate between travelling in First and just being a premium passenger, there is no other factor. I've been there as the BA rep has to explain how access can be granted to the other lounges. I think it is clear what is a happening, BAA are charging for passengers using the magic door and BA has refused to pay.
What I find incredible is that this is irrelavent in the scheme of things. There is one supplier (BAA) and one customer at T5 (BA). They need to reach a consensus on what is charged for the services. It is clear from this spat that they haven't. The fact that T5 security is a joke is testament to that and it's clear it won't be resolved soon. Time for independent arbitration.
