I used to live near Cannes and it is a very nice area to visit. In Cannes itself, they are getting ready for the Film Festival in late March so the Croissette should be looking nice. The Cote D'Azur is a drivers paradise with the awesome coast route to Monte Carlo and Italy to the gorgeous inland drives through the Var and straight in from Cannes, the Gorge area.
