Any EC members flying into AMS, a tip: don't give your bags priority tags. I've alternated the tags on and off and the difference is remarkable. I can only guess as to the reasons, but with tags on, my bag has been the absolute last 7 times out of 10. Without tags it's never been last, usually somewhere in the middle.
This is even true when flying into AMS with KLM! It is a racing certainty that any bags sporting 'Priority' tags (for example, because you have Platinum 'Flying Blue' status) will be in the last batch onto the carousel. It happens every time. I think that it is because priority baggage handling offends Dutch notions of egalitarianism.
