Edinburgh is the very best place I've ever been to - you could happily have three days in the city without repeating yourself.

Oban is a very picturesque place, and well worth the drive (about an hour and a half) from Glasgow to see. It's a very traditional place, and lets you imagine what everywhere would have been like in years gone by. The sweet shop on the main street is wonderful.
