well, i've just returned from 6 nights in los angeles. i spent 5 of those nights at the universal city hilton.

i was quite surprised to see that there was no 10 cent a minute charge for local calls (or 800 number calls) over 30 minutes. this is the first hilton i've stayed in in over a year that did not impose the surcharge. i'm not sure if this property has done away with the fee or if they never instituted it at all - but i was quitre pleased it wasn't there.

my final night was at the hilton in torrance where the standard 10 cent per minute phone surcharges still apply.
