Pursers and CSDs would normally scan for status pax I imagine, but not junior crew ... we offer meals and drinks in a set order so it's not essential to know who's a Gold or Silver etc. Everyone should be treated to the same high level.

Having said that, some Pursers/CSDs encourage crew to address status pax/all pax by name in premium cabins.

I do check names and numbers if I'm working in WTP though, as we tend to get a few pax sneaking into empty seats from behind the divider ....
