I saw someone in another thread say that he took IAD-AMS on the 757 and it went out with 2 pax in WBC, so I guess it's not looking so great. Works on all coach fares - from the highest to the lowest and everything in between. No one knows how they stack rank the 5 people who will get the phantom upgrade. Is it by status and fare class? Is it by status and lifetime EQM? Who knows.

Statistically speaking, your chances of an upgrade from EWR are far better as that is still flown with an A330 (for at least a little while longer). Is it worth all the fees you'll have to pay to change to EWR? My guess is probably not.
