I had a similar connection coming in from PEK-CDG in March but off to DUB and it went quite smooth EXCEPT for people who doesn’t know how to use the moving side walks (I'm not sure what they are called either). Just standing there like cattle not letting anyone pass so it is actually faster to walk beside it... You also often get the look as you are bothering the people in front of you because you might be in a hurry...

Anyhow, security check is very different at CDG from other airports in France (or other places) IMHO. They (security at 2E CDG) are not the kindest people on this planet. I pass through a couple of times a month and know the drill 100%. Wearing a t-shirt and kind of slim fit cardigan, I'm told (not asked) to remove my cardigan even though everything else I have with me is on the x-ray conveyor belt for check. SLRs all have to come out of their protective bags even though x-ray perfectly everywhere else can see through the bag...

I can understand that it might not be the most appreciated job in the world but if you can't show friendliness when interacting with people find a new job where being friendly and helpfull is not required.

Anyway, it doesn't make any difference to my day and I do get over it pretty quickly...
