Consider yourself lucky. Last summer, I reserved a * award FRA-ARN-TXL and the agent wanted to charge me the award booking fee, the telephone fee (which I believe was $25 or $30 at the time), AND 50K MILES!!! Needless to say, I cancelled the reservation after finding an actual fare of about $150.
