I have @20,000 orphan AA miles. I would have loved to trade them in to receive 40,000 HH points, however a minimum of 25,000 AA miles is required to do conversions. I'm retired, thus in the position to be burning points/miles, not flying anymore. Kills me to simply lose these miles. I could take out the AA credit card, spend $750 and get 25,000 miles, but I really don't want yet one more credit card. Any ideas of how to grow these so I can convert them or, alternatively, use them for something meaningful?
