It seems as though other's experiences here may be different than mine, but in the ~10 or so stays that I've had here, I've always been upgraded to a junior suite as a diamond. The only exception is the free weekend that I had in 5410 that I refernce above, but that a unique situation.
My suggestion is that you don't bank on getting an upgrade to more than that. That being said, I think the junior suites are a pretty nice room personally.
