Not related to BA, but when I've come across this in the past people tend to be used to it. The vast majority of the time they appreciate the attempt that I've made to get the pronounciation. Even if it's incorrect. Usually leads to being taught it and how to pronounce some foreign leters etc. In my line of work I see many exotic and unusual names along with the plain old Smiths and Joness.
