I did a search in this and other forums, so if it was posted here, sorry.

I asked this question to a WN rep, but she didn't have an answer other than "we had a partner airline, and now we don't".

Sooooo... Why does Southwest Airlines not have service to the Hawaiian cities from the west coast? It might not be as easy as it looks, but if I am correct, some of their 737s are ETOPS qualified. I don't know much about aircraft operations and the safety guidelines, so I don't claim to be a know it all on that issue, but it seems like it would be good for their operational & profit agenda, especially during times when airlines like AA & UA are inflating the fares like they are, no? Why am I wrong? If WN had service to HI cities, I would be going YESTERDAY!
