Fly to Birmingham. Train from the airport to New Street where you can change (same station, lifts everywhere, so luggage isn't a problem) to Bristol. Though, if you're already holding a ticket, I would push the airline to find me an alternative (e.g. work something out with KLM via AMS or pay for a taxi from LHR/BHX).
