American Express has a deal offering Middle Eastern lounge membership to those of us living in the area. For Bahrain, the charge is 35 BD a year (about $90) and offers lounge access lounges listed below.
It looks like a nice gap filler between other lounge memberships and Priority Pass. I'm going to give it a go and will report results.

To qualify for Complimentary Airport Lounge Access, kindly ensure that you make your Card payments on time. Guest admission will be subject to the admission fees and policies of each airport lounge.
*As per the lounge policy of Cedars Lounge at Beirut-Rafic Hariri Airport, Lebanon, guests will not be allowed access.
