My educated guesses:
  • Kiwi Flyer organised it, so it fit his schedule.
  • 9 Jun is a Tuesday - a bit of a big ask for the majority of the current attendees and indeed any other potential attendees

9 Jun would have been great, I guess - one day before they start new services. A bit like a real farewell party.
