Ok am I the only one completely confused here? I read this 3 or 4 times and Im still scratching my head
I wanted to find tickets from Seattle to Maui on Alaska Airlines. I want to take advantage of my MVPG status and a companion fare.
Most the flights do not show available for upgrade. Leaving around April 27th you can upgrade only on the outbound flight.
So then I was searching First Class Mileage Award fares. Normal is 75k per direction. I saw a few days with 37.5k as an option for one way first class.
I went to the standard reservations page entered my companion fare cert number and searched for two tickets SEA-OGG.
Using the 37.5k ticket dates as a guide Sep 6th outbound returning on Sep 11th Value fare is available with and instant upgrade.

I have been trying to find away to search a calendar for fares you could do the Gold upgrades on and confirm your First Class.
