Slightly belated feedback from our stay here 10 days ago.

After a lot of trying to justify the cost of paying extra for a Grand Tower, we decided to pay the extra and it really was worth it for our stay.

The Grand Tower check-in on the 5th floor was great. A friendly welcome and a drink whilst they checked us in. We were offered a choice of welcome gifts (a bear, some oils, some drinks coasters and a box) as well as a Platinum amenity. We were upgraded from the basic studio room we had booked to one of the larger Deluxe Suites. Definitely one of the nicer suites we've experienced.

We were given details of the Grand Tower benefits:

Breakfast served from 6-10am in the lounge
Afternoon tea served from 2:30-4:30pm in the lounge
Pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres each evening from 5-8pm
Complimentary refreshments all day in the lounge
Complimentary hire of Ipods and mobile phones during your stay
One hour use of the Grand Tower Lounge meeting room
Wireless and Broadband internet connection and workstations in the lounge
Light pressing of 3 garments upon arrival
24 butler service
Complimentary local calls
Access to a personal shopping guide to accompany guests (24 hour notice)
20% discount on laundry and dry cleaning
The lounge was exceptionally good, with a nice selection of food and drinks during the day. Service was fantastic and nothing was too much effort or trouble for the staff.

The only small negative was that despite the cost of the Grand Tower rooms, they still charge for internet in the rooms, despite it being offered free in the lounge.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend paying the extra for the Grand Tower if you can as it is well worth it.
