Plenty of better options within walking distance from the Othon. The JW Marriott is a good one. If you don't mind paying a bit more, stay at the Copacabana Palace. The Sofitel is a very good choice as well, right on the corner between Ipanema and Copacabana. All of these are a short 5-10 minute walk from the Othon.
