The only problem is that the new European destinations of TP (WAW, HEL e DME) have schedules which were adjusted the former Brazil schedules (and partially LAD). This means they now are totally unfit for any connection to Brazil. It's the case of HEL (departure from LIS at 22h20 and arrival at 08h35) and WAW (departure from LIS at 16h50 and arrival at 09h05). I'd therefe expect some further schedule changes in these destinations.
For GRU, I'm sure STAR-boss Lufthansa will be interested in taking up the HEL and WAW traffic. As it is, LH generally tries to direct GIG, SSA (etc) traffic through its own GRU services rather than lose revenue to a TP connection through LIS. So much for alliances...
On an OT note, my C-class leg LIS LHR last week was so far below the lowest range of service standard expected, it was like being back in the bad old days of Navigator. I hope network expansion isn't taking over from the focus on sevice quality improvement.
