I'm getting a headache
Garuda is fine. Not my cup of tea after flying them in Y. Cheaper and just as cramped as Lion Air. More cramped than Air Asia and Jetstar Asia. About as cramped as Bangkok Air or Lao.
Interline should work as previously mentioned.
Since both carriers are not LCC, just use the transfer desk. As stated, have them get the bags and send them along to AF. If Garuda in Denpasar can check them thru, you have no problems.
Four hours for a connection in SIN is probably about 3 hours too many.
Transit desk is before immigration, that is why it called a transfer desk. Who cares if GA can or cannot issue boarding passes. Print them on-line in Denpasar or ask the transfer desk to do it.
Neither airport is a third world operation. They are not backwater operations somewhere in Laos or Myanmar or JFK.
Let me explain the facts of life. Your Garuda agent is in India--Enough said.
It appears that perhaps you have never previously changed carriers at an airport.
Chill!!!
