Related question:

Last year, I claimed a 60k Z award which I ticketed on JFK-LAX-JFK. In the end, I was not able to travel, so I canceled the flights and held onto the ticket number in order to use it within a year of the original ticket issuance date.

I called the EXP Desk today and confirmed that I can still use this ticket even though the current mileage requirement is 65k for a 3-class domestic Z award.

I just wanted to confirm that my new itinerary must be exactly the same as my old itinerary, otherwise I will pay a change fee (because it is a MileSAAver award where only date/time changes are allowed). Is that right?

Example: Original was JFK-LAX-JFK
I want to fly RDU-JFK-LAX-JFK-RDU. Allowed or only with change fee?
