I have several trips coming up on the 762F, 762J, and 763F. Some of the flights are redeyes, and I would specifically like to know more about the sleep configuration and comfort of the 762 F/J. I already know the 763 is an angled lieflat shell seat.

FWIW, I was able to book the "Captain's Chair" on both of my 762F segments.
1. As for IFE, I think both planes are the same. On this route, FAs pass out this cute little flat screen video player that has TV shows and movies on it, as well as Bose QuietComfort3 headphones. They pass 'em out after passing 10,000 ft, and they pick them back up as part as preparation for landing. I like these gizmos... usually a decent selection of movies and some shows I watch. Both J and F get it on the 762, and F on the 763.

2. The 762 F seats are the widest (compared to 763F and 762J), but it's not like the other seats are narrow. (I guess if you're a wide guy, you may notice the difference... I'm a bit wide enough myself -- gotta lay off those free drinks up in F -- and I've never felt uncomfortable in any of these seats.) Also, the 762F seats recline a little better than the J seats. I don't think they get anywhere near as flat as the 763 seats, which are designed exactly for that purpose. In that way, I totally agree with ljgordon:

IMHO, those 763 seats are the most comfortable F/J seats in the domestic fleet.

By the way... those 762J seats aren't so bad. Plenty wide (though I think the narrowest of the three), with a good footrest and good leg room.

3. I hadn't thought about the fact that flying in F on the 762 gets you access to the Flagship Lounge at JFK. If you plan on being at JFK for any real length of time, I guess this is a pretty tangible perk. I don't spend much time at my departure airports (usually only use lounges on connections), so this wouldn't do much for me. And I can wait til I get on the plane for my free booze.

4. Also, and again this is just MHO, I can't stand the captain's chair on the 762. I guess you get the advantage of not having a seatmate, but I hate how exposed it makes me feel. Just weird.

To sum up my feelings here:

762F -
Pros: Widest, most personal attention (since it's a small cabin, there's highest FA/passenger ratio), Flagship lounge access, a little more legroom, internet available for purchase
Cons: Older product, kind of shabby seats, no flat recline, most miles

763F -
Pros: newest product, most adjustable seat, lie flat, best tray table (seriously, I love it), most buttons to push (sorry... I just love buttons), clamshell gives a bit of seat privacy
Cons: a little narrower than F on 762 (and slightly less legroom), less personal attention (bigger cabin)

762J -
Pros: Less miles than 762F, internet available for purchase
Cons: Least legroom, width, and personal attention of the three options
