Recently had to go KL from BNE. Cheapest options (in order):
  • SQ - BNE-SIN-KUL return
  • QF - BNE-SIN(QF)-KUL(MH)
  • MH - BNE-KUL direct

Check the pricing on Webjet for the dates you want then get a good (non-web) TA to ticket - even if you have to pay a small fee. Having the whole itin on a single ticket means QF has to protect you (if you choose that option).
