Paris - National Holidays - Armistice Day

So, I completely overlooked Armistice Day when planning my Paris wedding/vacation. As a result, our party is looking at the following schedule:

Nov 10 - Arrive Paris via Eurostar from London (late afternoon meeting w/pastor)
Nov 11 - Armistice Day
Nov 12 - Wedding Day (2:30PM)
Nov 13 - Several guests depart for AMS or other side trips
Nov 14
Nov 15
Nov 16 - Depart for London via Eurostar

I know that the Louvre is closed on Armistice Day and I assume most other museums are closed as well. What else can I expect to be closed? Is this day a total wash or should we just devote this day to the Eiffel Tower since it is open every day of the year??? Maybe have a picnic in one of the parks? (We're staying on Rue Vaugirard, across from the Jardin du Luxemburg.)

Some of the sites I hope to see this trip is: Versailles, Monmarte, Notre Dame, D'Orsay Museum, Les Invalides. (It's amazing how little I saw on my first trip in 2004. Spent too much time "wandering"!) We also plan a day trip to the Normandy Beaches (by car).

What events, if any, coincide with Armistice Day? Parades? Special celebrations?

I appreciate everyone's expertise here and any suggestions you have to offer in regards to Armistice Day.
