I'm happy to chalk that up to a bad day at LAX catering :-) The almond/pecan cookie would also qualify as a moon rock, IMHO. I've got a vegan colleague who had the same thing on one of her flights. The packaging says something like "No wheat, no eggs, no corn syrup...", to which she happily added "and no taste either".
