Some AC 333 and 777's this week and Emirates is parked over there quite often as well.
Apron is there, just no terminal extension has been built. It's now the new
East hold.
The old East hold came by it's name "east beach" in the crown corporation days prior to the satellite terminal being erected. Rampies used it as beach, so think of a pile of sand, an overturned cargo container filled with potable water and hot sunny days.
Pile of rubble seen might actually be remnants of huge mountain of dirty ploughed snow.
