Fly via ORD/MAN return on AA fare = $1074.90 out 8/29 returning on (if you leave 8/31 its about $100 less) 9/6 upgrade with the copay....the taxes should be a lot less than going through LHR.

When you get to MAN take the Express train from that airport less than 2 1/2to Waverly Station right in the heart of Edinburgh.. more time in Scotland.
No foolling around in Canada, Bermuda, Mexico or even LHR
