My Orbitz profile has a diabetic meal standard, however, recently I called UA 2 days before the flight to cancel b/c thought I might get an op-up on SFO-FRA that I booked on 'bitz. 1K guy said there was no special meal request. Yup, "Mr. Javan69, did you order a special meal? Here ya go." I don't think they op-up'd anyone (C was nearly devoid of pax), but Y was packed. Of course, on the ORD-SFO return in F which became 3-class F, there was no special meal. I have actually had some tasty pasta in Y out of SFO and in C out of ORD.
