Its a very fine line.... Recently I was doing a lot of trips from LHR to OTP and they normally went from underneath the T5 North lounge... plenty of time to relax when the boarding sign lights up. Imagine my horror when they switched to a bus departure somewhere in the bowels of the terminal underneath the South lounge. To my absolute joy there was another PAX 2 minutes behind me... I could shrug off the glares from those waiting as I tried to catch my breath. It was a fine line between being the plonker that held everyone up and me (no don't reply to that one... I know I was an "almostplonker")

Top tips..... even if you fly somewhere regularly the gate gurus will catch you out with a shift of venue... READ the departure screen, don't make assumptions!
