We had a pretty bad experience at the Sanctuary, although it was probably 3 years ago. At check-in the on-duty manager was loudly disputing a rate issue with a guest from behind the counter, rather than discretely elsewhere. So that was the first and lasting impression.

Entering the room, the bathroom floor had not been cleaned so our first call was to housekeeping.

Our last dinner, the dessert special was Strawberry Shortcake "just like mom made", beamed the server. It was horrible- just something wrong with it. Turns out, the pastry chef used salt where they should have used sugar... or that was explanation when they called our room to explain later. I think they comped the meal.

Sorry, and finally, I'm not sure I understand the "sexy pool scene" comments. It was suburban cougarland when we visited. I'd skip the place, but we may just have had an exceptionally bad experience.
