I can't think of any LGA-bound flights I've been on that crossed over lower Manhattan. Most flights either fly north through Brooklyn and Queens or fly up one of the rivers parallel to Manhattan before turning to land at LGA.

Anybody know why it was different last night?
I noticed the same thing while I was standing on the Metro North platform at 125th St. Definitely not the typical pattern, but I assumed it was just based on the wind direction.
