In the past we were always offered the little red paper bags within which there's a rather tasty sandwich. And free coffee or tea.

Virgin recently announced the introduction of inflight catering services offering food. Does that mean that they won't be passing out the red snack bags anymore? Any experiences? I will be flying FCO-AMS soon and am just wondering about it. A short email to customer services was not responded to. Thanks for any input.
