Thumbs down Priority Privilege - Sydney IC

After good experiences with the Accor Advantage program, I decided to signup for the Priority Privilege program (Australia) a couple of weeks ago.

I'm currently staying at the IC Sydney, and went to use my PP card for the first time tonight at the Etch restuarant. After handing over my card with the bill, the waiter came back to advise me that they're not a "participating restaurant". I went and asked reception re: their policy, and was informed that neither Etch nor the Cortile lounge are included. This leaves only the Cafe Opera as an eligible restaurant (which imho, isn't anything special).

I know there are various T&Cs to allow hotels to opt-out of whatever they want, and I understand that there are instances where the 50% dining benefit shouldn't apply (e.g. specials, select buffets, public holidays, etc.), but it's a little rough for 2/3 restaurants listed in the guest directory to not be participating in the program.
