Given the 331-day advanced booking limit, is there an approach where I can book/hold my outbound leg (331 days in advance of travel), then 1-week later, complete the itinerary by adding my return leg (now, also 331 days in advance)?

Waiting for the return date to qualify for the 331-day advance limit makes getting an outbound more difficult.

One option I concoted -- 330 days ahead of outbound, book outbound with a return a day later. After leaving that itinerary in the system for a week, change the return when the desired return day is within 331 days.
