Just did a story on National Comps for the June edition (which should be out). The program is definitely different. It's the only on in the industry we're aware of that bases point accrual entirely on revenue ticketing. If you buy a ticket for $400, you'll earn 40 points for the itinerary. If the guy next to you in coach paid $270, he only earns 27 points. When redeeming, one point equals one dollar on the cost of the fare; if you have 350 points and the itinerary you want costs $330, you'll be able to get it with 20 points to spare. It's pretty simple (if I have it right!), but it will bother some people.
