The only time I intentionally violate regulations is when I have to use the bathroom and the seat belt sign is apparently stuck in the on position.

This happened on Sunday. The sign was on for at least 3 hours flying BOS-SFO. There were periods of turbulence, including one where the FAs were asked to sit down. However, there were plenty of stretches of calm air.

At some point, ya gotta go, sign or not. I refrained from brushing my teeth or going into the overhead or anything non-essential until the sign went off later.
