IMO, FRA is the best option as far as European hubs go. You can catch a Lufthansa flight to almost anywhere you want to go from there. ZRH is also very good.
+1. If you go to lufthsana.com, and then you click on "route maps". Then you click on frankfurt, it's amazing. It's like a starburst. It goes all over the world!
