My initial thought would be to place the body in the crew rest area on longhaul aircraft, in the absence of a 'corpse cupboard' as available on SQ's A340-500s.
Those were my initial thoughts too, but on further thought I doubt the crew would be having any of that! I can't really blame them - I'm not superstitious but I certainly would balk at sharing cramped crew rest area with a corpse, or worse still using a particular berth in the future knowing it had housed a corpse.

Similarly I doubt the pilots would want the corpse in the small bunk area in the cockpit!

Other options would have been to take a first class toilet (lighter use) out of service and accommodate the corpse there, or use the small crew area under the stairs (I believe it was a 747). The latter option is probably not workable if there isn't a seat belt in there.
