I think you may want to check that. I believe the rate to be 1 AsiaMile for HK$4 of overseas expenditure (1 AM / HK$8 for HK expenditure).

Credit cards are generally at ~2% off the interbank rate. Since the HK$ trades in a very tight range around 7.8 then 7.90 would in fact be a very good rate for US$ expenditure.
