I've gone BART door to int'l check-in to security to RCC (no hurry to get to gate) in less than five minutes: no one at check-in (except employee), hand passport (no checked luggage), no one in security line, presto. With chicken, I've done the domestic thing in slightly more time (and it is a longer walk to the gate) since domsec is never as short as int'lsec, but can be dep'g on when you fly. But yeah, if you're an elite, you need to be ready for anything. And you know what, if your mom is dying, you pay the extra $200. These days no one who's flying doesn't have $200 - maybe not cash - but if you can't even charge the $200, you shouldn't be flying.
