freqflyer,

You want to stay on Star Alliance airlines simply because SQ and TG has so many daily flights between SIN and BKK that you have the flexibility to travel whenever you want. If you're flying SQ J, you'll get back your PPS status easy...if you end up flying TG Y, put your first 10k miles to Royal Orchid Plus and you'll get *S status which is worth more than *G on other programs when it comes to being upgraded to J on the packed Fri/Sun night TG flights.

I vote for the Conrad exec floor too...and the double-dipping is a definite plus. I prefer the Wireless road area to where the Hyatt is, though if you would rather travel by the skytrain instead of taxis, and if you want to be in a more livelier area, the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit isn't bad.

Personally, I'm in Bangkok for a few more months, which is why I gave up the points and miles and moved into a serviced apartment.

lucky6666,

Are you in Centrepoint Wireless?
