"you are not boarding F in jeans!"

N.B. This thread is about the dress code for AA Non-Revenue Passengers, NOT for regular (revenue) passengers. Please do not post off-topic comments about attire for regular passengers.

9/22/10 - The Non-Rev dress code is now included in the Non-Revenue Travel wiki page, based on the information found in this AA Trip Book, originally posted by TWA884.

While waiting for an upgrade to be cleared at the gate last week, I was witness to a funny situation. The 2 GA were busy on clearing upgrades, while one of them suddenly asks: "what about the non-rev?"
So, the other agent calls one of the pax (the non-rev) who sat quietly and hand him a F BP (767-200). He grabs the BP and steps with haste to the gate. The GA who is closest to the gate sees his F BP and starts to shout at him: “You are not boarding F on jeans!" Embarrassed, the pax mumbles:" This is not jeans, it is corduroy..."

Finally, the other GA calls him back, tears his BP and gives him another one (I guess in Coach).
I thought it was a funny scene for Mon morning. The sad part is that I was the first who didn't get an upgrade on that flight…
