Don't snatch my blanket!!
Flight VS10 JFK - LHR last night / this morning.
Everything was fine except:
Woke up on "preparing for landing" to find F.A. pulling the blanket from under my seatbelt and around my legs!!
"Oh sorry sir, I didn't mean to wake you, but you should have put your blanket in the overhead locker for landing."
WHAT??
Never heard of this one before, he assured me it's always been in the safety rules incase of emergency (well it made a change from "Since Sept 11th")
I nearly always land with the blanket on me with the seatbelt over the top, as they instruct you to.
In my half asleep / groggy state I couldn't be bothered to argue, but now I'm home it's beginnig to bug me. The F.A. had no badge on so I can't really complain to customer services.
Just wondered if anyone has ever experienced this or heard of the "No blankets on landing rule"
Are they really allowed to just snatch a blanket from a sleeping pax?
Is it worth me calling to complain, not having the guys name, all I seem to do lately is ring customer services complaining about various things.
Thanks for any help.
