If I am traveling overseas, I may put out the DND sign at odd hours. In my opinion, that means don't bother me for ANYTHING, regardless of the hour (as long as it's not past checkout time). More than once, when taking a mid-afternoon power nap, the front desk has called my room to let me know a bellman was outside with a package, and he couldn't ring the bell because of a DND sign. Well, Einstein, what makes you think a phone call would be any less distrurbing? I usually don't turn the phone off because all my calls are to/from my cell phone. Guess I need to rethink that strategy.
