How far in advance are you looking ? I don't think if it is operated by the 74M with old seats, they are not going to be put that on schedule more than a few weeks. As technically, they have enough 74M and 744 to cover both JFK and LAX. Why not just choose the flight with 777 instead then you don't need to worry anything ?
