You only get the BOB credit if you are on the domestic leg of AC1 or AC2 returning. If you are connecting from/to any other domestic flight, you do not get the meal allowance. This goes for any overseas flights on which you have domestic segments that are not in the same flight number. Stupid of AC, but then we expect such stupidity in matters like this. However, if it's of any consolation, I noticed in this month's enRoute mag that when you buy the combo meal and use a credit card, you will save $2 or $3 over the cash price.
